2. Quotations
All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Quotations are based on the information available at the time of assessment. If additional work is identified during the course of the job that was not visible during the initial assessment, we will inform you and provide a revised quote before proceeding.
3. Pricing and Payment
Prices are quoted exclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment is due upon completion of work unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer, cash, and card payments. For larger projects, we may request a deposit of up to 30% to secure materials.
4. Workmanship Guarantee
All work carried out by Lambourn Electrical Services is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion. This guarantee covers defects in workmanship and materials supplied by us. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party interference, or normal wear and tear. If a fault attributable to our workmanship occurs within the guarantee period, we will return and rectify it at no additional cost.
5. Cancellations
You may cancel a booking with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee to cover the cost of the reserved time slot. Emergency callouts that are cancelled after the electrician has been dispatched will be charged a callout fee.
6. Access and Preparation
You are responsible for providing safe and clear access to the areas where work is to be carried out. If access is restricted or unavailable when we arrive, additional charges may apply for return visits. For EICR inspections, all rooms and the consumer unit must be accessible.
7. Compliance and Certification
All electrical work is carried out in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition). Notifiable work under Part P of the Building Regulations is certified and reported to the relevant Building Control body. 8. Liability
Lambourn Electrical Services carries public liability insurance. Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the value of the insurance cover or the value of the contract, whichever is greater. We are not liable for pre-existing defects in your electrical installation that are not part of the agreed scope of work.
